Social-Tech: Data for Social Change

While our physical center is in development, our Social-Tech research is already active. Leveraging global technical standards from the U.S. higher-education ecosystem, we are utilizing professional tools like KoboToolbox to conduct our first "Digital Access Audit" in the Mumbai-Nashik corridor. This data-first approach ensures that our future interventions are precise, evidence-based, and impactful.

Active Research: Mapping the Digital Access Gap
Our AI Ethics & Data Framework

Led by an IBM Certified AI Ethicist, PragatiSankalp is establishing a research arm to ensure that digital progress does not leave marginalized communities behind. Our research focuses on:

Algorithmic Fairness: Auditing educational technology for caste and gender bias to ensure inclusive digital tools.

Data Sovereignty & Privacy: Implementing a "Privacy-by-Design" framework that treats community data with the dignity and security it deserves.

Community Welfare & Senior Citizen Digital Dignity

Our research extends to the holistic wellbeing of the entire community, recognizing that digital dignity is inseparable from physical health. We are currently conducting field research in urban clusters like Bhim Nagar to address the "Healthcare Gap" for senior residents (ages 45–90). Our focus includes:

  • Inclusive Medical Network: Partnering with specialized doctors to provide monthly on-site screenings (BP, Blood Sugar, Diagnostics) for residents aged 45–90.

  • The Pragati Wellness Link: Establishing a network of local partner pharmacies where residents can access essential medications at subsidized rates through our community affiliation.

  • Scheme Navigation: Bridging the "Information Gap" by assisting families in enrolling for government schemes like MJPJAY and PM Jan Aushadhi, ensuring no one is denied care due to financial constraints.

  • Data-Driven Advocacy: Using anonymized insights from our health camps to advocate for better local infrastructure.
